Come last weekend, I had the honour of being an influencer at Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya during their annual leadership summit – Netritva.
It was an intellectual extravaganza which gave me an opportunity to enunciate my views on the new age definition of diversity, the importance of agreeing to disagreements to encourage a culture of diversity of thoughts, biases, intersectionality, emotional labour quotient and possible measures to reduce biases and drive inclusion beyond just gender. The standing ovation, made me overtly emotional and heavy with gratitude. Moments like these do run a quick recap of the dreadful battles one has fought to reach where they are today.
I also got to hear insights on various topics such as blockchain, AI, ML, career derailments, driving a driverless car and changing landscape of the newsroom by the other leaders present during the summit. The icing on the cake was the cultural performance put together by the students and not to forget the scrumptious delicacies.
Thank you Dr Vinita Sahay and all the students of Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya for the warmth and for the opportunity, I truly am humbled.
